SELAMAT TAHUN BARU 2012!!!!!!!!!!

pejam celik pejam celik dah setahun berlalu and I am getting more matured hehehe dah tua ler tu... alahai...

memang sibuk bulan lepas... juggling my life with many demanding hats on top of me huhuhu rumah yang satu nih pun dah bersarang hehehe

I am not gonna flashback what I have done but only to continue knowledge sharing this point foward though dalam masa sebulan dan sepuluh hari nih ada lebih 20 movies that I have watched on dvd or at cinemas, sempat gak kan tengok wayang :P

azam tahun baru ialah I wanna be a better human being, a better person... semoga Allah mengizinkannya :)

jadi sebagai entri pertama tahun nih saya ingin berkongsi catatan tazkirah yang saya baca baru-baru ini tentang dimana tahap keimanan kita setelah sampai umur 30 tahun? 40 tahun? aku ler tu... 50 tahun? kita sibuk dengan hal orang lain sampai tak ingat nak betulkan diri sendiri terlebih dahulu.

sudahkah kita mantap tentang Surah Al-Fatihah? Taukah tajwid dan fahamkah maknanya? memang itulah bacaan lazim masa solat tapi betulkan sebutan kita? memang kita dah khatamAl-Quran tapi betul sangatkah tajwid kita?? fahamkah maknanya??

lebih baik kita muhasabah diri sendiri terlebih dahulu sebelum betulkan ketam lain berjalan senget.

sahabat, kalianlah cermin diriku... aku terlalu banyak kekurangan. maafkan diri ini daripada hujung rambut sampat hujung kaki. semoga Allah mempermudahkan ibadah kita tahun ini :)

Ada apa dengan pemimpin?

Sejurus selepas Umar bin Abdul Aziz dilantik menjadi khalifah, dia menghilang diri dan tidak kelihatan di khalayak ramai selama 2 hari. Orang bertanya pada anaknya, “Di mana ayah kamu?”. Anaknya menjawab, “Semenjak dia dilantik menjadi khalifah, dia menjadi terlalu takut sehinggakan berkurung di dalam bilik. Dia menangis setiap masa sehingga saya lihat janggutnya sentiasa basah dengan air mata."

Zaman sekarang jawatan pemimpin jadi idaman dan rebutan dan ramai yang sanggup bermatian-matian menindas dan menjatuhkan orang lain untuk merebutnya. Untuk berlaku adil dalam kepimpinan seperti yang dikehendaki oleh Allah bukanlah mudah. Dalam sejarah dunia, hanya beberapa kerat sahaja pemimpin yang adil, yakni yang layak untuk ke syurga.

Apakah kita suka kiranya jawatan pemimpin itu membukakan pintu neraka untuk kita? Sebab itu, takutlah pada Allah kiranya kita tercalon untuk jadi pemimpin. Sebab umumnya ramai pemimpin gagal dalam tugasnya. Lihat dunia di sekeliling, mana ada lagi pemimpin dan pemerintah yang adil? Di akhir zaman ini adalah satu pembohongan jika ada pihak yang melaungkan dia boleh memimpin dan memerintah lebih adil dari pemerintah yang ada.

Memimpin sebenarnya adalah tanggungjawab yang sangat berat. Orang yang ingat Allah akan rasa tidak munasabah untuk merebut jawatan pemimpin. Kalau ada orang yang lebih baik hendak ambil jawatan pemimpin dari kita, kita sepatutnya bersyukur. Ibarat kita di suruh panjat pokok kelapa, kalaulah ada orang lain boleh panjat, kita rasa lega. Demikianlah untuk menjadi pemimpin yang adil, hakikatnya jauh lebih susah dari kerja memanjat pokok kelapa.

Secara jujurnya memang saya juga mendapati kata2 pemimpin disekeliling saya agak sukar untuk dipercayai. Terkini saya dilempar dengan kata2 celaan oleh seorang pemimpin di pejabat saya sendiri. Rata2 warga kerja mengetahui hamba Allah ini seorang yang berilmu dan mempunyai ciri2 warak namun, dalam sekelip mata, semua itu diduga dan beliau akhirnya menunjukkan belangnya di depan orang ramai. Sakit hati saya masih terasa dan kalau ikutkan hati mahu sahaja saya membelasah dia macam aksi Aaron Aziz dalam filem KL Gangster yang banyak memenangi anugerah semasa Festival Filem 24 hari Ahad lepas. Saya mahu Allah bangga dengan hambaNya ini, lantas saya berdoa agar dia dipulihkan daripada penyakit hati hasutan syaitan itu.

Begitu juga pemimpin politik kita sekarang tanpa mengira parti (MLM??) apa yang diwakili. Cakapnya bergedar2 tapi hasilnya masih kabur. Ianya lebih teruk bagi pemimpin parti yang lebih 50 tahun itu... bila agaknya mereka takut dengan Allah?

Congratulations! You've earned somebody's respect and admiration. What do you say to that? If you're flustered by praise, it's time to learn how to take a compliment at face value and appreciate the best of it. After all, you're worth it, right?

Steps

Understand what deflecting a compliment is really about. If you're uncomfortable receiving compliments, it's likely that you discount compliments and thereby stop the compliments from being made by that person again. The ways of discounting a compliment include: suggesting that it was nothing or that someone else could have done it better, thinking that the complimenter must be after something from you, being embarrassed and blushing or giving a compliment in return, being sarcastic or insisting that the complimenter doesn't mean what they say. Each of these ways of deflecting a compliment results in putting down both yourself and the giver of the compliment, so they're not actually very giving or kind responses. If you have these problems in relation to accepting compliments, try to see the motivation for discounting compliments in a different light:

Modesty: If you think that you're being modest by deflecting a compliment, think again. Modesty is a virtue provided it isn't taken to an extreme; like any other trait, it has to exist in moderation. Modesty becomes a noose around your neck when it cripples your style and causes you to overlook what you're good at and the skills that define you. If you feel you need to compare yourself to someone who is always going to be "better" than you, then it's time to stop the comparisons, lower the bar of modesty and start respecting the good things about yourself a whole lot more.

Distrust: If you discount a compliment because you lack trust in the motivations of the giver, then you're being aggressive or hostile. You're immediately assuming that this person is being sycophantic and is weaseling their way into your good books just for their own purposes. While there is a possibility from time to time that an occasional person might be telling a white lie, most people are genuine about giving compliments and deciding on whether or not someone is trustworthy on the basis of compliments is a daft approach to life. Besides which, even if they are faking it, it annoys them most when you accept a compliment as genuine!

Trying to match the compliment: If you feel obliged to give a compliment in return for a compliment, it's likely that you're a people pleaser and that you're trying to self efface by batting back the compliment. If you think "I can't keep this compliment, they deserve it more than me!" and immediately scramble to bat it back to them, then it's possible you're denying the beauty of the compliment you earned based on your own behavior and way of being.

Think about taking a compliment as an exercise in being assertive. An assertive person knows their self worth and appreciates acknowledgement but neither seeks it out nor rebuffs it when received. More importantly, an assertive response is a recognition that you are worth the compliment and that you are entitled to quell any negative voice that seeks to deflect the compliment.

See accepting a compliment as a compliment in itself. In accepting a compliment, you are telling the other person that you trust their judgment, their wisdom and their sense of self. And that you appreciate what they have to say about you. And more than anything, focus on receiving the compliment rather than on its content. This helps you to acknowledge the compliment and express appreciation for it being given to you. Most importantly, since giving a compliment is a form of uttering an opinion, stop yourself from disagreeing with it or you risk downplaying someone else's opinion.

Decide how you'd like to take the compliment. While it's clear that you can deflect or discount a compliment in various ways, you can also respond to a compliment positively in a number of ways. It really depends upon the context that you're in and how you're perceiving the compliment. In particular, you can choose an appropriate response to a compliment depending on whether you'd like to accept the compliment itself at face value, even if you don't agree with it or you'd like to accept the compliment's substance and reflect that in your response, perhaps even using it to engage on further conversation:

When accepting the compliment as it is, even if it's not something you agree with, keep the reply simple and stay focused on the fact of receiving the compliment and be appreciative that the person was happy to compliment you. Some examples are:

"Thank you very much" or just "thank you". These are simple, timeless classics that should be easy enough to utter even if the compliment has caught you off guard. If that's all you can think to say, leave it at that.

"Thanks, I appreciate that."

"Thank you; that's a really lovely thing to say."

"Thanks - that's makes me feel really good."

"Thanks. That means a lot to me."

"Thanks, you're a kind person."

When accepting a compliment in a way that shows that you're appreciative of the substance of the compliment, this can really help to make the person giving the compliment feel that they've hit the right spot. Some examples are:

"Thanks. I'm really glad you noticed that because it's something I'm proud of too."

"Thanks! I'm so enthusiastic about this project, so it's great to know you're keen too."

"Thanks. I like it too – that's why I bought it even though I had to save up for ages."

"Thanks. I had fun making it and it's great to know you like it."

"Thanks. It has been in my family for generations."

"Thank you! I tried really hard." This is a really good response when somebody has praised your effort, as there is never any harm in acknowledging effort and that the outcome wasn't simply a fluke.

It's often good to use the compliment to further conversation. Say something like: "Thanks! I found it in New Look - it's amazing what you can get there." That way you've accepted the compliment and moved on to something about which you can both talk.

Smile. When taking a compliment, smiling says a lot without requiring you to say anything. You've probably earned it, so enjoy your moment in the spotlight. Also, pay attention while you're being complimented. If you give a person a half-hearted reply such as "whatever" or "mhm," don't expect that person to be quick to compliment you again. An expressive "thank you" is much better than "uh-huh".

If you suspect that the sincerity of the compliment is questionable or the compliment is confusing, you might want to open up an opportunity to explore it. This step is absolutely optional because on the whole, this approach is not recommended, for the very reason that there is more to be gained from letting insincere compliments float off you unacknowledged than there is by tackling them. Be totally aware that it would be really unfortunate if you have misjudged the compliment and see insincerity where there is none – that could really offend the other person. However, if you feel that you really need to question the compliment, you might approach it like this:

"It just strikes me that you didn't make a sincere compliment then. Are you being open/frank with me when you say that you like what I am wearing/doing/writing/creating, etc? I'd rather know that you're not happy about something I've done/said than to dance around the edges. At least if I know, I can strive to make changes."

Return a compliment later. Remember when a person has complimented you and note that it's nice and courteous to return it in a short space of time. Some people like to compliment straight away but as discussed above, you do need to be very careful that you're doing this for genuine reasons and not simply as a way of discounting the original compliment made to you. If you're not sure, then don't give a compliment at the time you're given one but do remember to return a compliment at another opportune moment. In fact, just get into the habit of making regular compliments through seeing the good in others and expressing this openly, as a part of who you are.

Simply say something nice about the person who gave you a compliment. A great way to return the favor is to compliment on something of theirs and smile. And be sure to notice the efforts they put into things; everyone loves having their efforts acknowledged.

If you haven't anything nice to say though, say nothing at all. Keeping your mouth shut is better than conjuring up false reasons to compliment another person.

Give credit where credit is due. Share the compliment with the whole group of friends, family or coworkers. If you couldn't have done something you've been complimented for without them, say so. This is especially important if the person giving the compliment was responsible for your success.

Don't ever argue a compliment out. Just because you feel that your accomplishment wasn't really all that hard or that the compliment didn't really fit doesn't mean you have to protest or object to the compliment. If you're uncomfortable with the compliment for some reason, keep the response absolutely minimal but polite – smile, say thanks, and let it go.

Keep it brief. Don't try to fill a loss for words with a lot of extra words that don't belong.

Don't fish for more. Accept the compliment graciously and move on. Preening for compliments is a sign of immaturity and insecurity; deal with these underlying issues if you actively seek out compliments.

Not all compliments are about your looks. Consider compliments about your character and personality to carry much greater weight than outside appearances.

If you're afraid of an awkward silence after being complimented, move the conversation along without blowing their compliment off. If they like your sweater, tell them where you got it. If they say that your hair looks especially nice, tell them where you got it done. However, be sure not to do so in a way that could be taken as bragging or fishing for more praise.

Practice these steps in a mirror. Just imagine someone says something nice, then say "Aww, thank you. That means a lot to me."

Don't change the topic without acknowledging the compliment. If they took the time to compliment you, it was definitely genuine, and should be handled as such.

Remember that you are just as entitled to receive compliments as everyone else. Don't try to shy away from them.

Warnings

Don't object, or say anything along the lines of, "Oh, no, I was awful!" This is rude, makes them feel stupid, and besides, you're insulting their sense of taste or judgment if you say something negative back. Even if you disagree with them, saying something negative could make you sound boorish and arrogant.

Don't become so good at accepting a compliment that you forget to give them out from time to time as well!

If they compliment your clothes or shoes don't say "Oh, this old thing?", as this is an impolite brush-off; accept that they truly think it is nice.

Try not to say something like: "Thanks, I like them too". It makes you redundant. If you wear something you usually like it, unless it is one of those bunny-eared footsie pajamas your grandmother made that you are forced to wear. But people understand that better.

Refrain from saying "Thanks! I paid a lot for it, it should be nice" or anything similar. This also makes you look egotistical and rude. It also may imply that you may have a lot of money, or not very much.

Gratitude isn't necessary when it's an insult delivered as a compliment. "You're so intelligent for someone of your (race/gender/class/background)" is not a compliment. It's a bigoted insult. Be aware of the difference and decide how to handle the insult as what it is. Calling them on it may be appropriate under the circumstances.

Compliments can also be inappropriate. If complimented on your appearance or taste as a response to a major achievement, look at the context. Someone may be throwing in an extra compliment - or trying to trivialize the achievement. You can tell by the tone.

Throughout Ramadan my DVD rental mode was switch off, I cant squeeze the time to do it. Lepas raya ajer, kemaruk la... just look at the list kan??? hahaha Panjang kan senarai nya? So I am sharing only short reviews of them.

Bangkok Knockout - Muka depa nih memang tak hensem tapi bila berlawan fuh! Rasanya macam kita pulak yang lawan sama... Action movie lovers, go and get the DVD.

**Good fighting skills**

Season of The Witch - The girl is not a witch, she is being possessed so calling her a witch is off actually. Though Nicholas Cage and Rol Perlman were in here but that does not make it a good movie though! Watch the movie only if you have spare time.

** Fighting with priest zombies are very scary**

True Grit - Probably to us Malaysians, cowboys movie really not a fav. Besides nice screenshots, the movie is quite hard to understand its reasons. I dont really care how it ends :P

**No romance movie hehe**

Paul - from the guys who brings you Hot Fuzz, those guys; Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are gonna tickle you again. Fun and bloody hilarious! Rental recommended.

Mars Needs Moms - Kids will definitely love this one, oh... mom and dad too hehehe Rental recommended.

Red Riding Hood - well this is totally not the nursery rhymes movie. I like the cinema shoot and the sombre and dull atmosphere. It sets the mood to the movie. Gary Oldman is always my favourite :) The storyline is good as it leaves you guessing who is the werewolf but the ending is a little unexpected huh? Rental recommended.

Pirates of the Caribbean : On Stranger Tides - Totally incomparable with the previous franchise, this is definitely stranger. But I love Johnny Depp! Captain Jack Sparrow is only his and him alone :) Go rent the DVD!

Tolong Awek Aku Pontianak - Fun and laughable... Everybody in totally different characters... Good! Rental recommended.

Fast and Furious 5 (Fast Five) - what can I say, this is really fast and furious. But why do I have the feeling that The Rock is not using his actual voice in this movie. He sounds to good :P and Vin Diesel acting is a bit off compared to the previous framchise. Apa pun, Han Lue (Sung Kang) is back and HOT! I love it! Need adrenalin rush? Go and rent the DVD. I thot this is the end but...

Thor - another super hero fantasy action movie but yet while watching it you feel like you are experiencing it as well and wanna be a part of the Asgard. Camno tu??? I like this movie as it give me different perspective towards thunder and lightning hehehe Rental recommended.

Wu Xia - you know the best fight scene is usually from the HK kung fu movies. This is the only thing that Hollywood still unable to duplicate and special to us. Please take sometime to enjoy this as it is a really hard core kung fu movie with some gross scenes but yet the fight scene were simply marvellous! Donnie Yen at his best! ops Takashi too... No Takeshi does not fight in this movie but his detective acting will make you puzzled! ;)

Hantu Bonceng - Lawak cerita nih tamat selepas hantu bonceng telah selamat dikebumikan. Selepas tu citer nih dah jadik macam Gerak Khas dan sememangnya hanya mengharapkan Zizan semata-mata. Tengok sekali udah ler...

Karipap Karipap Cinta - Saya menyewa DVD citer ini kerana Eman Manan yang mana saya kagumi lakonannya dan dia memang tidak mengecewakan saya dalam cerita ini. Jalan cerita yang menarik dengan menjadikan karipap sebagai pengikat cinta. Mungkin kepuasan cerita ini akan melebihi biasa bila membaca novel ini. Pi laaa sewa DVD nih....

Gantz - From manga to anime to action live. A movie cant tells us the story of 300++ manga episodes kan? So this is the beginning of the story... and this is a supernatural science fiction story so everything is on fantasy ride :) For those who likes to think outside the box, DVD rental is highly recommended.

Subzero - Dont waste your time!

X-Men First Class - Telling myself not to compare this with the previous franchise but it is quite hard to do so. Cant blame it because The X Men trilogy has setup an unique branding image. But I still enjoy this movie and rental is recommended.

Sucker Punch - Again, watch this is you really have time to spare... or you like to watch girls kicked some ass hehehe

Apa ke hei ngan orang nih???

Semalam saya and hubby singgah makan kat satu restoran makanan segera. Adalah seorang nih... nak kata mamat cam minah tapi nak kata minah macam mamat. Kan dah was2 tu... hish! geram aku! Kalu adik aku dah lama aku belasah...

Saya buat donno ajer wpun beberapa orang lain dalam restoran tu dok pandang2 dia. Dia suker la menjadi tarikan so asyik sengih2 dan lentok liuk macam penari dok menari tarian lilin. Rambut panjang lurus diikat pony tail, ladies tshirt belang2 with dark color jeans. Yang jelas tangan dan leher dia menampakkan sedikit kejantanan.

Gambar sekadar hiasan ajer tau... bukan betul2 kejadian.

Kalu ikutkan gambar di atas nih, lawa lagi mamat dalam gambar tu hehehe

Memang saya takkan layan orang seperti ini tapi ada sesuatu pada dia menyebabkan saya ingin berkongsi cerita ini. Selalunya 'mamat minah' confuse cam gini akan merenung lelaki sebab itulah kecenderungannya tapi ~~susah aku nak bahasakan diri mamat minah nih~~ dia dok pandang saya dengan satu pandangan yang berbeza. Bukan tertarik menarik kau memang the bomb ~~yea i know i am gojes kan :P~~ dia dok pandang macam nak sesuatu daripada saya.

Semalam memang saya ada wang tunai dalam handbag dan galaxy tab lagik, lantas catatan teman2 di FB mengenai ragut di kedai mamak menjadikan saya lebih berhati2. Saya telah membuat kira2 dalam kepala otak kalau dia mai kat aku, aku belasah dia dulu, cerita kemudian. Sangkanya, saya ajer yang berperasaan begitu rupanya cik abang pun perasan.

Apa dia nak??? tanya cik abang. Dok tenung semacam ajer??? Dia syok kat you, balas saya. Sesajer buat lawak yang tak lawak, kalu masuk raja lawak sure minggu pertama dah kena undi kuar :)

So apa lagi cepat2 makan and blah. Sampai saya masuk dalam kereta, dia dok pandang saya tanpa berkelip ~~aku memang lawa~~. Balik rumah saya terus sakit perut yang sangat tapi cik abang tak pulak. Elok ajer... Mulalah saya sangka yang bukan2. mamat minah tu hantar apa2 ke dalam food aku tadik? tapi kena buang prasangka tu jauh2... saya takmo bersekongkol dengan syaitan, lantas terus baca ayat Qudsi dan berdoa agar Allah jauhkan benda2 tu daripada saya dan keluarga saya.

Namun dalam hati, saya masih teringatkan mamat minah tu... Semoga Allah memberi hidayah kepadanya.

aaaahhhh... waktu mmg agak terhad buat masa ni... Thesis saya meruntun masa melebihi anak kecil yang baru dilahirkan, tugasan pejabat juga bukan sesuatu yang enteng.

unlucky me have to manoeuvre everything huhu susah memang susah tapi saya redho... sekiranya rintihan jiwa saya ini berjaya menghapuskan dosa2 kecil lagi la saya redho. Ya Allah! kuatkan semangat hamba mu ini...

Transformers : Dark Of The Moon

As a sci-fi movie enthusiast, this is phenomenal!!!! and this is totally a huge improvement compared to the previous franchise, Revenge of the Fallen. The action scenes are extravagant and at times, pretty epic. The robots transformed realistically to make a real life killing machines of a compelling action scenes. Even tiny transformers shape shifting convincingly. The acting was fair though I feel the new girl is better but she is just a plank of wood most of the times not to mention the chemistry with Shia ; she is totally gone hehehe

Overall this movie is 8 over 10 and I am not expecting the Best Movie nominee or winner. It is just right to fill my expectation and improvement over T2. In the end, the great special effects and extremely extravagant action scenes will be more than enough to cover the flaws. My favs are the scenes with the collapsing buildings and the tracking shots of Optimus Prime slicing and smashing through Decepticons are classic. Autobots! Roll out!!!!!!

Movie nih panggung di rumah hehehe Antara yang menyebabkan saya menjadi pelanggan Aseterok Ferest adalah kerana rupa hantu yang sungguh menyakinkan dan sememangnya saya tidak kecewa dengan hantu tu dan CGI nya... tapi jalan cerita movie nih sedikit merapu. Ia umpama orang buat citer hantu aku pun nak buat gak... so lawak ler jadiknya. Terus hilang keseraman selepas di saat kemalangan kereta dan hantu kaco hantu... apa kes???

Saya rasa sudah banyak kali saya perkatakan bahawa saya tidak sekali2 menbanding movie mat salleh dengan movie kita tapi cubalah beri satu movie yang mempunyai standard yang baik atau above average. Sekali lagi, layan Hantu Kak Limah lagi besh!!!!!

This movie had some good things in it. The blasting boom of the gunshots were startlingly realistic. The alien spacecrafts are awesome. The aliens themselves are pretty cool. Its just that the screenplay is very cliché. Typical alien movie. If you have time to kill, this movie is ok. No grossy scenes la...

Filem genre seram kedua daripada Ahmad Idham. This is much better than Damping Malam. Pembangunan watak masih boleh dikembangkan namun, pelakon memberi persembahan yang baik untuk filem ini.

Maklumat tambahan, dalam filem bolehlah Ustaz tu halau saka dengan sekali rawatan saja. Dalam kehidupan sebenar, memisahkan saka dengan tuannya bukanlah kerja mudah namun masih boleh berjaya dilakukan dengan sabar dan tawakal.

Semalam Abang Long mendaftar di MRSM Transkrian, Nibong Tebal, Pulau Pinang. Kami sekeluarga kali pertama menjejakkan kaki di Transkrian ni... Nice place, food sedap hehehehe

Mudah2an Abang Long dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan persekitaran yang baru. Sesungguhnya hati saya memang berdebar sebab ini kali pertama akan berjauhan dalam tempoh yang agak lama dengan 'baby' nih... Walau pun dah umur 16 tahun, he is still a baby to me...

Masa berpisah memang sedih. Athirah memang menangis teresak-esak. Mama Azim nih pun tangkap leleh sama hehehehe tapi bila mendengar kata2 Azim, hati jadi sejuk... "Mama, terima kenyataan anak mama nih dah besar. Kalau Azim tak pisah dengan mama sekarang, kita sure akan berpisah kemudian masa Azim masuk universiti."

The Warrior's Way

A mixture of Ip Man and wild west meets Asian buddy movie this is. It looks like the movie was shot with green background and later, the Art Director canves the background with CGI. At times the action appears to happening within the panels of a comic book (i.e. Spirit or Speed Racer).

The story line is simple and direct but the action scenes are computer generated. The non computer generated action scenes are still worth watching and able to zest adrenalin rush :)

Ternyata Shahiezy Sam layak menerima habuan beribu2 lemon daripada David Teo tempoh hari. Beliau membuktikan bahawa dia memang pelakon yang versatil daripada mat rempit ke mat ngangkung ke mat gengster.

Saya suka dengan jalan ceritanya, ringkas dan bersahaja tetapi macam cubaan terlebih mengampu PDRM???? entah lah hanya Farid Kamil yang tahu hehehehe

Apa pun saya rasa, babak yang terakhir sekali tu tidak perlu sama sekali. Jika penonton ditinggalkan dengan shot kaki Tumulak tergedik2 dalam sungai tu akan memberi impak yang lebih sayu?? wpun dia lah penyebab kongsi gelap berbalah. Steps

Use the simple displacement method. Mind tattoos and negative mindsets grow in a vacuum. Do not allow such a vacuum to be created in your mind. Increase your curiosity for things around you and beyond, allow yourself the privilege to be wonder-struck. Let the newness of every moment tickle your senses. Question yourself, keep asking what, why, when, where and how. A questioning mind is an open mind. It is not a knowing mind (the knowing mind soon leads to arrogance and shutting down on newness). - When you open your mind, it can be filled with creativity, positivity and newness. Negative mindsets and tattoos will be displaced and deleted.

Come out of the mindset of blame games. The most damaging tattoo is the tendency to look for and find a scapegoat for every situation. Release yourself from the tendency of being problem averse and for shifting away responsibility. Stop wringing up your hands whenever there is a problem; while it is good to hope for a life without problems, realistically it is possible only when you work to make your problems surmountable, by cultivating a problem-friendly attitude. This means just rolling up your sleeves whenever you're faced with a problem, and searching for an opportunity to improve the quality of your life by dealing with the problem. Being faced with a problem is never a problem. It is a way of life and once you have woven problem-solving into the matrix of your life, you will feel stronger, more capable, and freer of the negative mind tattoos.
Open your mind to ideas from friends, acquaintances, and even strangers. A tattooed mind is beset with preconceived ideas and closed to suggestion from outside. Open up your thinking to the ideas, opinions, and viewpoints gathered from your friends, colleagues, and even from strangers. Once you realize the value of these alternative ideas and views, you will be in a position to start using your increased understanding and empathy to improve the quality of your own thought and decision processes.
Set achievable goals, and achieve set goals. A major reason for negative thought process is failure on personal or professional front; not just failure though – it is the failure to learn and grow from failure, to accept it as part of life's lessons. The negative thinking can set in when personal or professional goals are not properly set. An improper understanding of your strengths or constraints often results in goals being not properly set and many excuses being made to sidestep developing a purpose to your life. In letting others make the decisions and change the rules on you, you drift rather than achieve through life. Instead, know yourself, understand yourself, and be yourself when setting your goals. This way you can be successful in setting and achieving your goal and keep failure out of your door. Moreover, do not be dissuaded by the failures but see them as detours that teach what to do better next time.
Come out of the habit of perennial dissatisfaction. Perennial dissatisfaction is a major indication of a person with a negative mindset; a positive thinker can spot such a person a mile away and will do their best to steer clear (hence, you attract more negativity than its opposite). It is good to be acutely aware of your dissatisfaction and unfulfilled desires. However, this awareness should not frustrate you or cause you to give up citing everything as being "too hard" or "all over". Even if you are frustrated, it should never be reflected in your behavior toward other people. As a matter of fact, you should use this awareness as a stimulus to realize your dreams, and to be grateful for that which you have achieved already. Similarly, being your own inner umpire (referee) by mental reframing of the situation often helps you to make the correct decision.
Tattoo your mind with conscious, positive thoughts. What we tattoo on any part of the body for others to see is not as important as what we tattoo in our minds. Much of what is tattooed there has been absorbed from the criticisms, expectations, and limitations placed upon us by other people; they are not wanted or chosen tattoos but they are embedded out of obligation, loyalty, misplaced trust, and over-eagerness to please the other. On the other hand, positive, successful, energetic mind tattoos are a must to attain success and are tattoos that we can choose to implant and thrive from. So, it should be your conscious (and ultimately subconscious) endeavor to keep tattooing your mind with thoughts that are only about winning or thriving. Implant and nourish the tattoos that reflect who you want to be, the goals you want to reach, and the successes you seek to achieve. Last Wednesday, I received an email from a friend...

"....Tan said sugar price in the country is still lower than neighbouring countries like Indonesia (RM3.80), Singapore (RM3.61), Thailand (RM2.31) and Phillipines (RM4.50)....".

Sounds like a familiar statement coming from our mangkok-hayun lawmakers.....

Thanks for the highlights but I am already fed-up tahap gaban to comment on this issue because it is really not worth commenting. These politician still like to bullshit the public with direct comparison like this, either who knows very little about economics or a complete IDIOT! The later fits those politicians actually.

Why make direct comparison? There are many other factors should also be included i.e per capita income, purchasing power parity, CPI etc. (Aku nih bodoh subjek ekonomi masa belajar dulu tapi tak ler sebodoh depa nih kan...)

Just imagine if these type of people aka politicians are spearherding the nation into a high income and developed nation by 2020, it's not a dream but a nightmare!

Domino effect, our food price especially baby milk will go up and up and the salary is not moving at all... I seriously still think that we need a new government next!

A ghost story from Philippine. Though the movie is a bit dragging but it is worth watching. The ghost is not that scary but the suspense was able to make me watched the scenes with my hands on my eyes hehehehe

Sebenarnya hari yang sama saya perlu menduduki peperiksaan Organisational Behaviour. Terus terang saya memang tidak ada semangat untuk menatap buku OB. Subjeknya bukanlah susah bebenor tapi terlalu banyak teori dan pendekatan yang perlu dihafal sedangkan di dunia pekerjaan ianya tidak seilmiah sedemikian hhhmmmmm... namun saya terus menatap buku OB sambil lagu2 MLTR berkumandang di hp, notebook dan dalam kereta hehehehe

Selesai peperiksaan saya terus ke sana. Nasib baik KLCC dekat jadi kami pun bersuka ria dulu hehehe Masuk sahaja ke dalam dewan... mak oi!!!! ramainya orang!!! Full house!!! and the organiser was really strict no recording at all, cissssss!!!

For many years now, "self-esteem" has been synonymous with "self image," but that's not really what self-esteem is. Positive self-image is important - it's caring about yourself and seeing yourself as a unique and special individual simply because of who you are as a human being.
Self-esteem is a positive sense of one's own worth that is based on actually doing worthy things - it's that feeling you get when you've accomplished something, and it's a great feeling. Here's how to build it and help others lift theirs in the process.

Steps

Do things and live life so that you impress yourself. There's only one way to elevate your self-esteem - earn your own respect. Many times we try to impress others but that's a fool's game. The person you really need to impress is you. Always seek to improve yourself against your own achievements, your own milestones, not anyone else's.
- Stop trying to win other's respect. Live your life with integrity and self-determination based on what impresses you, and respect will follow.
- When possible, walk away from people who don't respect you. When you can't, don't sink to their level. That can be difficult but it improves with practice. It makes a good goal in itself to learn not to sink to their level when people disrespect you. Understand that they may have a generic reason to disrespect you such as prejudice or by character they may be malicious. If it's a misunderstanding, try sorting it out - when a liar spreads stories about you it can be hard to sort out what they said and spread the truth but it can cause people who'd otherwise take you as you are to treat you with disrespect. Understand the differences in those situations and absolutely never trust anyone who's lied about you behind your back again.
- While other people's opinions and ideas have their place in your life, don't set your life according to them. Listen and take on board what works for you but only internalize that which you believe improves you or works for because you have made a choice for yourself.
Set goals and work toward them. They don't have to be pie-in-the-sky, they can just be gradual improvements. You could decide to learn to play the guitar, for example. Start by saving up to get a guitar, then learn one chord until you have it perfect, then another, then another. Get guitar books and sheet music from the library learning one song at a time or play by ear. Or learn to draw with art books, a sketchbook and pencils by practicing every day. A different example: you have a B- overall grade point average. Resolve to raise your GPA at least a half grade each semester until you are a B+, then you will renegotiate. Begin to study harder, join a study group or choose a study partner. As you begin to gain mastery of your schoolwork and see your GPA rise to a B and finally to a B+, you will have a solid sense of accomplishment - and your self-esteem will rise. Both daily success - "I studied tonight" and external success "I'm good enough to play guitar at a party and no one laughed at me" are different types of self esteem.
- Judge your goals wisely. Look at your real goals and interests in life. If your long term goal is to become an educated professional or get a free ride scholarship to college, then raising your grades is the first step in a long road to a large personal success. If you're raising your grades from B+ to A+ to please a critical parent that expects perfection, choose a self esteem goal that doesn't rest on their opinion of your success, such as learning to draw, play guitar, build a collection, tell jokes well, skills that will help you relax when you're successful in a high pressure career. You're already living one, something in your life has to be just from the heart. A good goal is something you would enjoy anyway even if no one knew you did it, no one paid for it and no one complimented it. That feeds the soul.
Gain accomplishments and achievements. Study hard. Take that B+ and turn it into Honors by keeping it as a personal subject of study for one to three years. Or play hard at a sport. Even if you are only average, the more you practice, the better you will get, and that's an achievement of its own. Choose something to excel at, choose a goal, and work hard toward it until you achieve - even working toward bettering yourself for the sake of doing it is a worthy pursuit.
- Play to your strengths. If you run fast and aren't bulky or strong, maybe track is a better sport than football. If you're creative and dramatic, consider drama and audition for school plays. If you're great at math and hate slippery literature and arts subjects, seek out the Astronomy Club or Chess Club and build your skills in the areas that come easiest. Strengthen your native talents. It's good to have at least one goal like this that comes from exactly who you are and what you do best.
- It's also good to set goals that shore up your weaknesses. If you're brilliant in math and computer science, barely snagging D minus in English and afraid to talk to girls, setting the goals of getting your English grade up to a B minus and overcoming shyness are good for self esteem too. Someone else may not think of a C minus as a good grade in English, but when you raised it from a D minus and risked flunking every semester that is an important achievement, perhaps more difficult than pushing B minus to B plus.
Value noble pursuits. Academics, the arts and sports are time-honored traditional pursuits which can bring out the best in a person by testing intellectual and physical limits, and fostering individual and team efforts. You could write a novel, write an original piece of music, create a graphic novel or paint well enough to gain honors. Look at ways in which these noble pursuits can be carried on through life beyond school.
Value harmless, self-rewarding pursuits. Knitting, gardening, quilting, woodworking, decorative painting, collecting, model building, fandom (music, sports, television, movie), fashion, DIY, trivia, games, reading are all things that harm no one and give self esteem by your competence in them. They also bring social support from others who share your passion. It doesn't need to be a high and noble pursuit to be a goal that matters to you and it doesn't have to earn you a living if it gives you lifelong pleasure and relaxation. Many of the arts and sciences can also fall into this category even if you don't follow a career in them or pursue them to professional level - rocketry clubs, community theater, open mike comedy or music and leisure painting are all still worthwhile even if you choose to remain amateur and do these things only because you love them. They will also give you a good basis for building a new social life anytime you relocate. If there isn't a club for it in your new location you can found one and others will be glad you did.
Help someone. Volunteer at a retirement home or a homeless shelter. Get involved with your church in a ministry to the sick or the poor. Donate your time and service to a humane animal shelter. Be a Big Brother or Big Sister. Nothing is more rewarding than offering your time and talent to help others in need. Getting outside your own head and your normal circle of influence can be eye opening and humbling.
Practice humility. No one was ever a greater public servant than Mother Teresa, she helped the poor, the sick and the dying, and never turned anyone away. It's a huge difference, because it tells the child they have the power to win, if he/she sticks with something and tries hard. It can set the tone for the way she or he goes at things the rest of her or his life. Don't "let" them win. By doing so you rob him of the chance to earn a win honestly.
- Children understand the difference between being handed a win because you love them and winning because they won in a competitive situation. Don't be surprised if a child hands you a win, ask yourself if you've been a sore loser if that happens.
- Encourage non-competitive activities and praise every step on the way to success rather than expecting perfection. It's good to have at least one goal that can only rest on comparing with your own previous performance, to keep from getting so wound up in pressure to succeed that any failure is catastrophic.

A heavy, large youth can try to become strong and fit, lose some weight and try out for football but is unlikely with that build to become a track star.
Competition in sports and similar activities is healthy when it's fair, within your abilities and played with real enjoyment and respect for others. Competition in which you compare yourself negatively with others and try to be "better" than them is not. You can never know what life is really like for other people. Much of it doesn't show, so setting your standards by other people's clothes, belongings, and rank at the office will simply demoralize you and lower your self-esteem. Someone with thousands of dollars in expensive clothes and electronics may be the one getting bought off by parents who'd rather get a root canal than spend an hour with their kid.
Believe that you can make a difference, one person or task at a time. Over time, as your efforts bear fruit, you will feel your inner sense of satisfaction at your accomplishments.
Have a sense of humor - especially about yourself. Don't take yourself too seriously, keep things in perspective.
Keep a written record of your progress toward your goal, whether that's your scores in sports practice, hours studied, dating your sketches, writing out what chords you learned or gaining or losing weight in pounds. Daily small successes are one of the best ways to build self esteem. It's not the state championship that gives you the strength to weather adversity later on, it was all the practice that helped you get on the team in the first place and all the practice before the first game, every one of those games along the way.

Avoid the temptation to turn self-esteem into conceit and arrogance. People with good self-esteem are very attractive. Arrogant louts aren't.
Avoid illegal and self destructive goals. Whoever drank the most beer without puking is likely to be an alcoholic, they gain the most alcohol tolerance. Joining a gang may get you a future where prison is your higher education and you can't step back out into a different life. Sex with as many partners as you can get will eventually lead to venereal disease instead of a deep relationship with someone who'll love you for life and treat you well.
Think of the long term as well as the short term. Sports that aren't easily available in adult life or peak when you're young are great if you're so good that you'll become professional. For many they lead to sitting on a couch at forty remembering glory days instead of looking forward to new triumphs at the bowling alley or racketball court. A consistently high GPA can lead to full free-ride scholarships, but if your self esteem rests on getting high grades, graduation from college can become a huge shock. Out in the working world where there are no external grades to measure your success by. So be sure at least some of your goals are timeless and not dependent on school facilities.

Going green as family isn't always smooth sailing because everyone will bring their own ideas about being green to the table. Instead of seeing that as a hurdle, though, why not try embracing it, and seeing where listening to their ideas and reaching compromises can lead?
Going green as a family is a great process for joint decision-making, facing the budget together as you find ways to reduce the cost of living, and committing to a future that you know will be sustainable for your family.

Steps

Talk about green issues as a family. Choose a time when you can all get together without distractions or absent family members. Ask every family member to explain what being green means to them and what they're already doing to be green at home, work, school, and in their leisure activities.
- It can be helpful to keep notes so that you can revisit the different ideas, comments, and complaints that different family members raise during the discussion. Allot one person to be "record-keeper".
Ask your family what they think you could be doing more of as a family to "be green". Avoid making final suggestions at this stage because your family will appreciate being heard and having their own ideas giving priority.
- It can be a good strategy to ask your family to help you with the green changes that you wish to make and to offer to help them in turn with the green changes that they wish to make.
- It might help to take a walk around the house (and garden) together to actually see the things that could be done differently.
Work through the different ideas together. At this stage, you might have come up with differing viewpoints about what matters most in going green. Talk through the ways in which you accommodate each other's preferences and reach compromises on the priorities for your household. Things affecting the priority will likely include cost, viability, utility, and level of interest. Try to come up with a simple list of things that your household can make changes to and that every family member can be a part of.
- Create a list of changes. Look around your house and make a list of all of the ways that your family could change to be more environmentally responsible. Pick a few small changes to start with.
- It can be helpful to create a poster, chart, or other visual format that everyone can follow when learning new habits or implementing the changes.
Do some research as a family. Visit the library and borrow books on such subjects as greening your home, green cleaning, green gardening, green living, etc. and allocate different reads to different members of the family. Have everyone come back a week or so later and report on what they've read and the things they think might work in your household. At this stage, the family will be able to discuss the merits, costs, desirability, etc., of the suggestions as a team, making this a joint decision-making process.
- Find out what other people have done and think about how your family could use those ideas.
Find activities in the house that everyone is able to do to "be green". Picking a small project to begin with is a good start, something that doesn't cost much (or anything) and that is more about habit-changing than anything too complicated. Some of these things might include:
- Getting into the habit of turning off lights and electronics whenever anybody leaves a room unoccupied.
- Starting a compost in the garden, or maybe a worm farm.
- Beginning or improving on an edible garden. Aiming to eat more homegrown food that is tasty, pesticide-free, and saves money.
- Game nights where all electronics are turned off. This is about bonding together as well as saving a little energy; it's a thoughtful gesture as well as a green one.
- Water conserving activities are a great family exercise: Turning off water when brushing teeth, fixing dripping faucets the moment they're noticed, washing the car on a lawn rather than on concrete, cleaning the pool regularly so that water doesn't have to be changed, etc.
- Minimizing waste. This is even better than recycling because recycling carries its own energy costs. However, still ensure that that household has a good recycling scheme in place, and that everyone is aware of how to repair and reuse household items, as well as not making a lot of waste in the first place. As an added bonus, recycling cans and scrap metal can earn extra money, and you might like to use this as an incentive for pocket money increases!
Talk about your family's food habits. Unless you're already a vegetarian family, this is probably not the time to ask everyone to go veggie but at least raise it as an option. The things to discuss include:
- Vegetarian meals could be made more frequent within the meal roster. Less meat consumption is healthy for everyone, and the environmental costs of producing milk, eggs, and meat includes increased land usage, high protein grain being fed to animals, and the production of methane. Again, borrow some books and DVDs from the library on this topic, including Michael Pollan's The Omnivore's Dilemma, Food Rules, and In Defense of Food, and borrow Morgan Spurlock's DVD, Super Size Me.
- You might also like to check out websites on the Slow Food movement, and sites that are dedicated to locovore eating habits (eating locally produced food).
- If anyone in the family does want to go vegetarian, borrow some books on achieving optimal health as vegetarian or vegan, to reassure yourselves that you are going to be getting all needed nutrients.
- Don't forget about greening your pet care, greening your driving, and greening your boat care.
Talk about transportation. Ask everyone how they currently get around, to work, to school, to sports events, to shopping, to the local store, etc. As a team, work out how many of the trips taken need to be by car with a single person in it. Look at how many ways you can drop the car usage down by walking, carpooling, cycling, catching public transportation, or other solutions.
- Are you living in a walking-friendly area? It might even be time for a house shift. While it can be more expensive sometimes to live closer to your place or work or study, it might prove cheaper and less stressful to live closer than to be driving a long way every day.
- Arrange family outings where you all cycle or walk to a local park or other place and have fun together. Make sure you know how to dress for all sorts of weather, so that you don't let a little rain deter you.
- Ask the family to plan a shared timetable together in which one car trip can manage a whole lot of errands, drop-offs, and pick-ups at the one time rather than taking the car back and forth. This can be a fantastic way of working out how to save time too!
Have a regular craft afternoon spent together. During this time, learn how to reuse things and make new things from old. Everyone has a basic realization now that plastic shopping bags aren't the greatest addition to the planet, so one of your projects could be to make reusable ones. Borrow some books from the library on making crafts by reusing objects, and check out the many websites devoted to this activity. Some of the things you could try include:
Find ways to make use of things you don't need for their original purpose anymore. Develop a mindset as a family that items need to be reused as much as possible before being discarded for good. Some things you can reuse in many ways include:
Encourage the family to find ways to reduce heat and air-conditioning usage in the home. This will be harder because everyone tends to feel temperatures differently but reminding each other that adding a sweater to get warmer or opening a window when it gets hotter are good options before fiddling with the thermostat.
- Consider space heaters and fans for elderly or chronically ill family members who can't tolerate the temperature range the healthy young members can, or very small children. Everyone's needs are different but does it need the entire house to be brought to their temperature? Purchase Energy Star appliances for this purpose and if possible easily recyclable ones. New appliances can sometimes be a greener choice in the long run.
- At night, keep the bedroom temperature cooler and use blankets or layer up.
Be patient. Don't expect everyone in the family to change their ways overnight and do expect everyone to need gentle reminders to change long-held habits. For family members who feel less inclined to participate, try to offer incentives to get them to at least try a few small changes. Give the reluctant family member a small project and be generous with your praise when they complete it.
- Small projects include recycling bottles, cans, and paper, and turning off the water while brushing your teeth.
Consider costlier greening projects as part of your planning. If the budget doesn't stretch to these initially, start a savings plan. This might include retrofitting options such as insulation, solar heating, and gray water systems. Not being able to afford these straight away isn't a reason to avoid them; it's a good opportunity to agree that you do want them within the time it takes to be able to save for them.

Lama sungguh saya tak bercerita pasal fridge magnets kan??? Ni antara fm yang saya terima minggu akhir Disember 2010 dan awal minggu Januari 2011. Semua fm adalah daripada adik2 saya. Our inter company sports competition has come to the end of the game... bowling! A sport that I am not in favour at all but after several days of training, I got the hang of it hehehe

The red one is mine, the purple ball is personally owned by my office mate. Seeing her personal bowling equipmwents, rage the envious in me hehehe jeles tahap gaban, but I might be playing this one time only so what the heck of buying kan?

Sewaktu cuti Hari Wilayah yang lalu, saya dan cik abang menonton wayang gambar 'back to back'. dah lama tak buat cam gini :)

Sememangnya saya ingin menonton Haq terlebih dahulu dan Shaolin kemudiannya agar adrenalin meningkat laju, namun slot masa tayangan tidak mengizinkan kami berbuat demikian dan seperti yang saya sangkakan, ianya menjadi kenyataan...

Filem arahan Benny Chan ini berlatar belakang tahun 1920an semasa peperangan saudara di satu wilayah di negeri China. Antara penyebab saya menonton filem ini adalah Andy Lau, Nicholas Tse dan Jackie Chan.

Lakonan Andy Lau sesungguhnya amat baik sekali, semasa watak jahat, jahat sungguh dia dan semasa telah berubah menjadi baik, lakonannya sungguh sayu dan hiba sekali impaknya. Saya amat kagum dengan sksi seni pertahan diri beliau persis seorang professional. Saya pasti Andy Lau sememangnya telah meletakkan jiwa dan raganya untuk watak Huo Jie.

Bagi peminat cerita kung fu, filem ini 'is a must see'... Kung fu Shaolin dalam filem ini sungguh seni bunga tarinya. Tambahan pula pemandangan bukit bukau yang memukau terasa seperti kita di sana...

Hasil tangan KRU brothers ini memang lain daripada yang lain. Saya suka suki dengan jalan cerita yang menggabungkan watak2 cerita lagenda dan dongeng dalam satu filem. Dalam rasa sekejap sangat watak2 itu ditonton, saya faham sekejap itulah yang memberi impak menarik pada Magika. Ahhhh... saya pun rasa ingin ke sana. Satu 'escapism' yang menarik kan??? Saya amat tertarik dengan watak Penunggu Tasik Chini. Hanya 3 baris ayat tapi berkesan.. pergh!!!! mainan dalaman... wa respect sama lu la Sifu!!!

Lawak bangat citer ini... memang enjoy... don't worry ini citer hantu yang tak takut punya lah! The original film is in French so if you watch it in English, it sound a bit awkward. Nonetheless, I love those mummies!!!

Treasure Raiders

The reason I rented the DVD because arwah David Carradine acting in it but to my disappointment, there is not even a scene that he is showing off his martial arts skill. What a waste... in addition the story line was wayyyyyy much slower than the speed I am typing this review.

Ngangkung

Baru aku tau makna ngangkung tu aper... Berbaloi untuk disewa DVDnya. Tiga watak utama yang bagus dan mereka mempunyai 'sebatian kimia' yang sesuai untuk berlakon bersama. Babak yang paling menarik ialah semasa Wan (Angah) nak kech kat tepi jalan dan hantu tu selamba rock tegur dia and siap posing cunnnnn punya atas kete depa hahahahaha

Cuma aku rasa, hantu tu mempunyai rambut yang sangat cantik dan lurus untuk seekor hantu... kalu depa nampak kak ponti yang asli, mau pengsan kot termasuk pengarah filem nih sekali... :P

This is an anime adaptation of Avatar : The Legend of Ang. One of my fav anime but personally I think M. Night Syamalan ruin the Ang's excitement for this movie. Ang character is different from the anime who is fun and cheeky. The movie only covered the First Book of Avatar. I hope somebody save Ang if they plan to film the Second Book :(

Hantu Kak Limah Balik Ke Rumah

Pencil: I'm sorry cos you get hurt bcos of me. Whenever I made a mistake, you're always there to erase it. But as you make my mistakes vanish, you lose a part of yourself. You get smaller and smaller each time.
Eraser: That's true. But I don't really mind. You see, I was made to do this. I was made to help you whenever you do something wrong. Even though one day, I know I'll be gone and you'll replace me with a new one, I'm actually happy with my job. So please, stop worrying. I hate seeing you sad. :)

I found this conversation between the pencil and the eraser very inspirational. Parents are like the eraser whereas their children are the pencil. They're always there for their children, cleaning up their mistakes. Sometimes along the way... they get hurt and become smaller (older and eventually pass on). Though their children will eventually find someone new (spouse), but parents are still happy with what they do for their children and will always hate seeing their precious ones worrying or sad.

This is for all parents out there.....

Actually eraser vs pencil situation in not only happen on parenting but also as part of our daily life. Our marriage life and our working life as well. Think about it... That is why Prophet Muhamad remind us if we are angry, we sit if standing, stand if sitting, do the opposite basically just to cool down our hot temperature :)

Probably I have rambled this before but then again, human needs constant reminding huh? me too... :P accept people we are dealing with as their are, think of the situation solutions and concentrate on their strength rather than their weaknesses. Next action is to forgive them. Easier said than done, I know but heyyyyy... I have done it, with difficulty of course, the result... I sleep better at night and calmer in my reaction. Try it! Be a good eraser! :))

Cuma Aliyah ajer macam ulat sket masa amik gambar, semua blur... last2 dia malas n campak topi. tu la pasal dalam gambar tu si kakak yang pegang topi dia... hehehe

Okinokiyo's hat is double sided so you can wear both ways... jez choose the fabric (cotton and corduroy) and a hat is on the way... ~~dah tentu kena bayar dulu yea~~ When the kids wear the sun and bucket hat, Mama also wanna have one!!!! :P

Saya terima pesanan ini melalui emel sahabat sekolah saya. Memang tiada pengesahan hadis sahih mengenainya tapi saya rasa selagi ianya tidak menyekutukan Allah, pasti ada faedah dan khasiatnya…

Renung2kan dan selamat beramal… **sorry Prof Ezi, terpinjam tagline lah pulaks...** :)

Tujuh sunnah Nabi SAW itu adalah:

Pertama: bertahajjud, kerana kemuliaan seorang mukmin terletak pada tahajjudnya.

Kedua: membaca Al-Qur'an sebelum terbit matahari Alangkah baiknya sebelum mata melihat dunia, sebaiknya mata membaca Al-Qur'an terlebih dahulu dengan penuh pemahaman.

Ketiga: ada di masjid terutama di waktu subuh. Sebelum melangkah kemana pun langkahkan kaki ke masjid, kerana masjid merupakan pusat keberkahan, bukan kerana panggilan muadzin tetapi panggilan Allah yang mencari orang beriman untuk memakmurkan masjid Allah.

Keempat: solat dhuha, kerana kunci rezeki terletak pada solat dhuha.

Kelima: bersedekah. Allah menyukai orang yang suka bersedekah dan malaikat Allah selalu mendoakan kepada orang yang bersedekah setiap hari.

Keenam: berwudhu terus menerus kerana Allah menyayangi hamba yang berwudhu. Kata Khalifah Ali bin Abu Thalib, "Orang yang selalu berwudhu senantiasa ia akan merasa selalu solat walau ia sedang tidak solat dan dijaga oleh malaikat dengan dua doa, ampuni dosa dan sayangi dia, Ya Allah".

Ketujuh: amalkan istighfar setiap saat. Dengan istighfar, masalah yang terjadi kerana dosa kita akan dijauhkan oleh Allah.

Zikir adalah bukti syukur kita kepada Allah. Bila kita kurang bersyukur, maka kita kurang berzikir pula, oleh kerana itu setiap waktu harus selalu ada penghayatan dalam melaksanakan ibadah ‘ritual’ dan ibadah ajaran Islam lainnya. Zikir juga merupakan makanan rohani yang paling bergizi dan dengan zikir berbagai kejahatan dapat ditangkal sehingga jauhlah umat manusia dari sifat-sifat yang berpangkal pada materialisme dan hedonisme.

Agama buat kehidupan di akhirat, harta buat kehidupan di dunia. Di dunia orang yang tidak berharta berasa susah hati tetapi orang yang tidak beragama akan merasa lebih sengsara. ~ Saidina Abu Bakar As-Sidiq~

I have lost track of how many versions of Robin Hood that I have seen from cartoons to this latest Ridley Scott's version.

Especially for those who admire British history, this epic is totally into the actors acting skills.

A must have DVD... lawak nak mampos!!! Go and watch yourselves.

The penguins wanted to go to space and they end up at the top of a building... really funny...

The Karate Kid

Sama tapi berbeza... It might just the similar to 1984's Ralph Macchio Karate Kid story but the Smith and Chan team are sure to wow you.

Jaden Smith is definitely his father. The fight scene during the competition is amazingly choreograph.

The Prince of Persia

Another video game to screen movie. Cant say much but the CGI is good.

The ostrich race is totally macho!

The kids sure love this... Nanny McPhee is surely everywhere hehehe wishing she is there helping me toooooo... hehehe

Biasakan diri dengan berdepan dengan adiwira versi Melayu. Usaha yang bagus oleh Azizi Chunk. Mula2 memang macam pelik dengan idea 'Malaysian superheroes' sebab kita sudah dibelasah daripada dulu lagi bahawa adiwira dan mahkluk asing hanya wujud di begara barat :P

Adegan aksi di jambatan Putrajaya memang besh!!! Pi la tengok DVD nih... tapi sila tinggalkan ego dan 'expectation' di dalam bilik air semasa menonton barulah cerita ini dapat dinikmati... :)

2 Novel Untuk Aku!

Tarikh hari nih memang cun… 20/10/2010

Tapi saya bukan hendak bercerita tentang tarikh. Sengaja buat gimik pembukaan hehehehe

Ini cerita minggu lepas. Saya menerima 2 hadiah novel dan bagi peminat buku macam saya ianya sememangnya amat mengujakan (wpun pada masa ini saya ada banyak lagi buku yang belum dihabiskan hehehehe)

...tapi sebelum kita cerita pasal buku ini, jom kita mengimbau kejadian yang berlaku beberapa bulan lepas.

(Bayangkan gambaran ini bersama kepulan asap, sedikit kelabu dan warna hitam putih)

Kekosongan jawatan di bahagian akaun menyebabkan kami mengadakan satu sesi temuduga pada penghujung bulan Jun 2010 yang lalu. Hanya 4 orang calon yang ditemuduga dan salah seorangnya ialah penulis novel yang saya terima sebagai hadiah, Faizal Dzasrik.

Bagi setiap sesi temuduga saya acapkali bertanyakan soalan2 yang sengaja menjurus kepada keluarga, minat dan personaliti calon dan suasana yang santai kerana saya percaya soalan2 menakutkan calon eloklah ditanya oleh pegawai atasan calon berkenaan, lantas kami akan dapat maklumat dan tindakbalas calon dengan lebih tepat sekiranya berbuat demikian.

Sesi temuduga bersama Dzasrik memang ceria kalah Astro Ceria Untuk Kita Ajer… namun saya dapat rasakan beliau memang jujur dan inginkan jawatan ini. Berada di jawatan saya, kita akan dapati segulung ijazah bukanlah satu tiket (konsert Adam Lambert) untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan yang kita inginkan ataupun yang seiring dengan bidang pengajian. Aaaahhhhh realiti kehidupan memang pahit.

Secara peribadi saya rasakan kami memilih Dzasrik berdasarkan karekter dan personaliti beliau yang lebih menyerlah berbanding pengalaman kerjanya.

Novel Burger Del merupakan novel ketiga beliau. Novel remaja yang menyentuh soal kehidupan dengan cara beliau tersendiri. Saya sedang membaca kedua2 novel ini serentak sebenarnya (aku memang giler kuasa dan pelahap) cuma novel Burgel Del terpaksa berebut dengan Azhad. Yup, my almost 7^th year old son really amused with the novel. He even colored the graphic inside hehehehe Probably the school kids story lines really catched him.

Jadi, saya memang amat menyarankan novel ini sebagai bahan santai anak2 atau adik2 kita (kita pun ok gak… UB40 kan?) jalan cerita, olahan dan gaya bahasa yang raggi dan sesuwei dengan golongan muda mudi. Daripada menghabiskan masa dengan kerja2 kurang berfaedah lebih baik baca buku nih…

Terjahlah blog dan mukabuku Dzasrik untuk lebih maklumat. Saya tak dapat komisyen untuk iklan ini tau… :P ulasan buku nih kenalah tunggu yea… :)

Saya sebenarnya memilih untuk tidak membicarakan perihal politik negara di ruangan peribadi saya ini, atas alasan :

~ Bosan, muak dan meluat dengan perangai dan perilaku ahli politik baik team A mahupun team B.
~ Tak ada seorangpun pemimpin yang berjuang untuk mengurangkan harga barangan keperluan ; makanan terutamanya.
~ Nak termuntah tahap gaban bila isteri dia lebih tunjuk power daripada YB tu sendiri :P

Tapi email daripada seorang sahabat yang saya terima baru sebentar tadi membuat saya tersentak dan terkedu. Bukan sahaja terkena batang hidung ahli politik semua, kita pun sama boleh ambil ikhtibar daripadanya.

1. Pemimpin tidak Memimpin dirinya sendiri, gagal meletakkan Allah ditempat Pertama; diikuti dengan Rasulullah dan keluarganya
2.Tidak memiliki Ilmu memahami keutamaan.
3. Tidak bebas atau dilihat daripada melakukan dosa besar dan dosa kecil.
4. Tidak Mempunyai jiwa agama dan gagal menjaga amanah bangsa.
(Baca butiran dlm rencana tersebut).

Berkata benar walaupun pahit . Jika UMNO mahu meneruskan legasinya pada PRU 13 dan mas depan: pemoimpin dan ahli UMNO tidak ada pilihan melainkan mesti dpt dilihat bersih, cekap, amanah dan dpt dilihat melaksanakan ciri ciri. Kepimpinan Islam.

Pesanan Dr Mohd Ridhuan Tee itu, bukan saya peringatan untuk ameno tapi boleh diambil sebagai panduan oleh kita juga.

+ Letakkan Allah tempat pertama
+ Jadikan Nabi Muhammad SAW sebagai role model kita dan keluarga terutama anak2
+ Buat dan sangka baik setiap masa ; mak saya pesan bila berbicara, cerita yang baik2 sahaja hatta ianya berkenaan musuh kita sekalipun (ampun mak, saya masih gagal dalam bab nih...)
+ Tingkatkan ilmu dan kaitkan ilmu itu dengan Islam keseluruhannya
+ Sekurang2nya ingat tentang kematian sekali dalam sehari

Hari ini (14/8/2010) saya sebenarnya mengemas baju2, tudung2 dan beberapa barangan lain untuk disedekahkan kepada orang2 miskin di daerah Batang Kali. Mak saya pesan barangan mestilah masih elok dan boleh digunakan. Yes Mak!!! :)

Tiba2 saya terpandang kotak kecil warna merah ini. Sebelum ini saya simpan loket mutiara anak2 dalam kotak ini.

Tooth Fairy

Totally kids movie. Stereotype character and so predictable storyline.

Jeon Woochi : The Taoist Wizard

It's traditional fantasy with traditional magic. Woochi character is a confident trickster mage who is a lot of fun and his introduction was a great moment. He's constantly surprising and I loved the character as well as his comic-relief sidekick. The 3 taoist monks were also quite enjoyable and got way more interesting as the movie went on.

The plot and motives mostly exposed in the starting moments. The special effects were well done combining seamlessly CGI and real actors. Some of those include going in and out of paintings, multiplication of bodies (think Naruto) and flying tramways. The action scenes were exciting and very cool but unfortunately the fights were often too closed-in. Overall the movie is quite entertaining but drags on slightly.

Merlin and the War of the Dragons

A good old fashioned fantasy movie where good versus evil.

From Paris with Love

This movie is basically about two guys going around blowing stuff up in Paris while trying to take down a terrorist organization. Personally, merapu punya jalan citer hang tembak aku, aku tembak hang tapi aku sukerrrrrr…because that makes the movie just pretty damn interesting. I mean the plot where the book dude teaming up with a loose cannon crazy guy has been done before but the elements of bad ass and witty and fast paced dialogue makes it really entertaining to watch, even if the twist near the end was pretty predictable as the rest of the movie. Just turn your brain off and enjoy this movie for what it is, not every film has to be smart to be enjoyable.

The Wolfman

I was very impressed on the acting. Benicio Del Toro portrays the role very well and believable. So does the great Anthony Hopkins. A big factor is the werewolf itself. In movies like the original Wolfman and Mummy there was a silent dread. The monsters showed their great power by intimidation alone and the idea they can kill you and go wild but prefer to stalk and plan. I found this better with the horror side than the emotional side. As a whole it's alright. Not too bad, but kids should watch with their parents, too much bloody scenes.

Case 39

Renee Zellweger conveys her feeling of threat very well, making her stressed out character vivid. The plot is good, as at first it makes you feel so sympathetic and sorry for the girl, then it slowly prepares you for something entirely different. The story is so engaging and scary that I wanted to see more of what's going to happen yet I wanted to see less because it's scary. Case 39 is successful in creating a suspenseful atmosphere, full of threat and uncertainty.

The Book of Eli

Promising start, disappointing middle and awful ending. Though I have to give credit for some great fight scenes and on the whole, it was well filmed with good cinematography. Danzel Washington played his role well, as did Gary Oldman but Denzel is more of a lover than a fighter…

Jumbo Gajah Biru ini merupakan sebuah filem animasi dari Thailand yang dialih bahasa ke Bahasa Melayu. Tajuk asal filem animasi ini adalah Khan Kluay 2 yang diarahkan oleh seorang animator terkenal Thailand yang bernama Kompin Kemgurmnird, seorang animator warga Thai yang pernah bekerja untuk Disney di dalam animasi Atlantis:The Lost Empire, Tarzan dan Ice Age. Kanak2 pasti sukakan filem ini J

Lu Pikirlah Sendiri

Lakonan Nabil tidaklah seteruk mana lebih-lebih lagi ketika memainkan peranan dalam babak sedih. Pendek kata, penonton pasti menitis air mata apabila menyaksikan babak di mana Nabil cuba meneruskan kehidupannya selepas pelbagai dugaan menimpa diri dan keluarganya. Sebagai orang baru, memang banyak kesilapan tapi filem ini juga banyak cacatnya. Menyentuh soal penggambaran, terlalu banyak babak yang tidak menarik. Sambungan daripada satu adegan ke adegan yang lain juga tidak lancar. Malahan, jalan cerita dan olahan skripnya yang tidak bermesej menjadi file mini hambar.

Lakonan Meet Uncle Hussain pula, kebanyakannya seolah-olah menjadi penyendal kepada setiap kekosongan filem ini. Walaupun agak ketara, namun komedi spontan mereka menghiburkan. Filem ini masih menghiburkan untuk ditonton tapi… lu pikir la sendirik!

Poster filem ini memang mengelirukan… Mila cuma berlakon sebagai adik Nabil dan heroin filem ini adalah Puteri Sarah. Kenapa gambar Mila yang dibesar2kan (sebab dia kecik kot??? :P) sedangkan wataknya tempelan sahaja, hanya pengarah ajer yang tau. Lagi satu, macam mana la filem Melayu nak maju kalau kita terlampau bagi muka sebab dia tu kali pertama mengarah. Menjadi Pengarah kali pertama bukanlah alasan untuk menghasilkan filem yang hampa gas… hampeh betoi!

Pejam celik! Pejam celik! dah masuk bulan Ogos! cepat sungguh masa berlalu kan? Tak lama lagi dah bulan Ramadhan... saya ada banyak cerita tertunda yang akan dikongsikan dan mudah2an ada sedikit kelapangan untuk menulisnya. Sudah lama saya tidak menulis luahan perasaan, rindu pula rasanya... hehehehe

Bulan Julai memang menyesakkan saya dengan mengelola majlis syarikat dan menghantar kertas kerja Masters... tapi hidup tanpa cabaran pasti membosankan kan? kan? kan? :))

hari ini saya sedang merangka kerja2 yang bakal saya lakukan sehingga bukan Disember dan masyallah, it is a long list! That lists include my long desire in writing short stories and this time purposely writing romance (after watching too many Korean drama, I guess hahahahaha).

Sebenarnya saya memang tidak ambil tahu sangat pasal sotong kurita yang pandai meramal nih... Bagi saya "apa kejadah nak meletakkan nasib kita kat seekor sotong???" tapi sesungguhnya memang ramai yang fanatik tentang sotong ini.

Semasa ke pejabat tadi, saya mendengar radio panas malaysia dan mereka membicarakan tentang sotong kurita ini yang bernama Paul. Ramalan memang secara kebetulan tepat belaka menurut mereka2 tu ler... Sebelum ini Abang Long pun ada bercerita tentang Paul dan saya katakan padanya binatang tertarik dengan warna2 terang, sebab tu la mungkin negara yang mempunyai bendera terang dipilihnya dan secara kebetulan menang pula... :P

Bila dimaklumkan bahawa Paul meramalkan Orangje akan menang Piala Dunia 2010, chinta hati saya terus berkata "Holland menang??? Aaaahhhhh..." lantas saya terus berkata bahawa Paul suka warna jingga ~~korang tau tak kaler jingga tu apa???~~ sudah tentu Orangje pilihannya. Kenapa dipercayai sotong kurita tu???? Geram akak...

Tapi bila DJ itu menceritakan bahawa Paul mendapat ancaman bunuh, saya nak tergolek2 gelak ~~badan pun mmg dah bulat~~. Jahil sungguh manusia nih ek? Tapi saya suka makan sushi octupus yum yum yum

Sememangnya saya sudah menjangkakan Piala Dunia 2010 akan dimenangi oleh pasukan Eropah dan seterusnya memecah persaingan dengan pasukan Amerika Selatan. Kedua2 benua telah memenangi Piala Dunia 10 kali. Saya menonton perlawanan bola sepak itu bukan kerana sokongan perlawanannya sahaja tetapi saya ambil kesempatan mengkaji yang tersirat dalam perlawanan tersebut.

Tektik yang digunakan, emosi dan tenaga yang dilemparkan para pemain termasuk jurulatih mereka, riaksi penonton dan penyokong dan suasana stadium itu sendiri. Saya mengkaji perangai manusia bila berhadapan kekecewaan, cabaran dan kemenangan. Dengan rumusan dan gerak hati, saya akan membuat jangkaan. Sekiranya sama, ianya merupakan satu kebetulan yang menarik. Syukur Allah memberikan saya buah fikiran yang membolehkan saya berkongsi dengan sahabat2 yang lain.

Hehe tapi saya tidur masa perlawanan pagi tadi antara Sepanyol dan Jerman. Cuma saya terjaga jam 4 pagi untuk mengetahui keputusan. Analisa akan saya buat semasa ulangan petang ini keh keh keh

Team pilihan Mama menang terbaik kan?

Saya kira ranking Spain sudah semestinya naik satu anak tangga,

mengalahkan juara ranking Brazil :))

Seperti biasa kalu birthday anak2 jatuh di pertengahan minggu, kami hanya adakan majlis kecil2an sahaja. Pada hujung minggu itu baru ahli keluarga lain dijemput bagi memeriahkan suasana.

Sibuk sungguh kakak dan abang bertanya, "kenapa tak beli kek?", "kenapa Nani dan Mak Ngah tak datang?"

Bagi kanak2, sambutan hari jadi memang sesuatu yang menggembirakan :))

FIFA World Cup 2010

Sebenarnya kami sekeluarga bukanlah fanatik bolasepak, namun demam bolasepak FIFA empat tahun sekali nih mengundang idea kepada saya bagi memeriahkan suasana. Dengan itu, kami pun memilih pasukan yang ingin disokong.

Abah dan Abang Long memilih pasukan berdasarkan pencapaian pasukan dan minat terhadap pasukan tersebut. Saya???? Sebab ingin sangat melawat Sepanyol kerana bangunannya yang penuh kesenian, Athirah sebab baju belang biru nampak cantik katanya, Azhad suka warna kuning dan Aliyah suka jagung???? Jadi saya pilihkan satu pasukan Amerika Selatan mengimbangi 3 pasukan Eropah dan masakan Mexico memang gemarkan jagung!!!! OK tak pilihan kami????? hehehehe menangis Presiden FIFA tu baca statement aku!!! kwang3x

Masih ingat cerita jenis darah saya bulan lepas? Bila saya tengok balik pasukan pilihan keluarga saya, rupanya pasukan berdarah O sudah tewas dan hanya pasukan darah B sahaja yang meneruskan perjuangan. Kebetulan yang sungguh WOW kan? Adakah pemain berdarah B lebih baik bermain bolasepak berbanding pemain berdarah O? Saya sanggup buat research nih hehehe dan sudah semestinya Maradona merupakan subjek penyelidikan saya yang pertama hahahahahaaaaa

10hb - balik Penang sebab Pak Ngah sakit kuat. Memang Pak Ngah kritikal and I cried my heart out. Syukur things improved the next day. Alhamdulillah. As at today Pak Ngah dah pindah ke wad biasa dan sudah boleh bercakap. Hanya Allah yang tahu hikmahnya...

12hb - from Penang to Gambang attending Abang Nawar's HSBC Family Day. Since the atmosphere is still sad, I didn't enjoy much the event. But the kids surely did! Air dan kanak2 semenangnya tak dapat dipisahkan...
