Kenapa perlu besar2an sambutan tahun baru masihi nih???

Saya masih tidak faham kenapa sambutan tahun baru masihi perlu dibuat besar2an dan berhabis2an??? Saya tahu sebabnya cuma sekali lagi tak faham kenapa ianya perlu dibuat???

Ahhhh.... doa ini sahaja yang saya mampu lakukan...

Ya Allah! Selamatkan anak2 kami menempuh malam sambutan tahun baru ini... Semoga semuanya ingatkan Allah sahaja.

Wah! Dalam kesibukan menimbang kerjaya, pelajaran dan rumahtangga, masih sempat tonton wayang ya... hehehehe hanya itulah cara saya 'destress' diri dan perasaan. Ianya murah dan tidak menggangu jadual ketat saya.

Tsunami At Haeundae

It is a movie showing the life of Koreans living off the seacoast of Haeundae. As many Korean movies, the pace is slow but full of stories that related to each other. The climax is the last 30 mins of the movie. The CGI is average but good enough for an Asian movie, I watched the last 30 mins twice just to feel the ‘disaster’, ok lor…

Star Trek

The actors are superb and the appearance of Leonard Nimoy and Eric Bana takes the tale to the beyond. A must see, also see again n again n again… EXCELLENT!

G.I. Joe : The Rise of Cobra

Fast, furious and just fun but something about this movies sucks… Pop corn movie worth watching once only.

Night at the Museum : Battle of the Smithsonian

This film is an amazing example of a movie made for kids and adults. Kids will enjoy the silly humor, and the monkey while adults will laugh at the onslaught of in-jokes. Worth watching again and again… J

Penelope

Penelope is an original and uplifting story that reminds us of life's most fundamental truth. It is packed full of excitement, surprises, laughs, heartfelt pangs and soaring joy. Christina Ricci is radiant as Penelope and in the face of daunting circumstances, she inspires us to not only persevere but to dare to break free. Although aimed at teens, it has elements which also make this entertaining for adults. It has great visual appeal, slapstick humor as well as clever writing throughout. Worth watching second time.

Please don't waste you time! Go out! Feel nature! Erase the movie title from your mind at all!!!!!!

The film has obvious flaws, trite clichés and phony science. It is Hollywood having a good time with a controversial subject. Nothing is new here. Though the CGI is cheesy but its worth watching once.

Talentime

It resists the temptation to overreach in terms of subject matter and avoids the problematic, blunt moralising which often characterises the approach to problems like race and love. The final scene is something which I think most people have seen before ; bittersweet, almost preachy scene that's always mawkish and off-putting. But Yasmin Ahmad somehow pulls it off. I am sad but redho, that Yasmin Ahmad is no longer with us. Talentime was her masterpiece. GO AND BUY THE DVD, BE ORIGINAL!

Papadom

It is about family values and the love of parents. So good you must watch it more than once. Cerita ini ada lawak, sedih dan penuh pengajaran. Pi beli DVD Papadom! Pasti you all nak tengok lagi dan lagi… “Jangan emosi dengan tanah” + Noorkhiriah in cheerleader suit + Mat Wajib Tayang + Puaka Padang Ragbi!!!! Best kan???

Up

Amazing visual effects. Amazing sound. Hilarious comedy. The movie is not just hilarious; it's emotional and sad at times. Up is full of emotional, fun and hilarious proportions. Look forward to watching it again with bigger smile.

Momok The Movie

Cerita nih ada 6 cerita hantu pendek arahan M.Jamil. Semua orang nak buat citer seram kan? :P First time on movie, the former AF4 winner, Faizal Ramli seemed takut2 not because this is a scary movie but he shown his uneasiness in front of the camera directly. The make-up on the ghosts could've been better and the background songs failed to arouse any thrill or excitement. Regardless of that, for those who enjoy horror comedies, boley laaaaaa….

Even Prof Madya A. Razak Mohaideen would like to do a ghostly movie huh??? Just like Momok, this is a compilation of 9 common ghost stories in Malaysia. Secara peribadi, saya rasa siri Kekasihku Seru lagi seram!

Trail of The Panda

The scenery filmed in this movie was breath taking and it makes one wonder how much of the landscape had changed after the recent earthquakes that occurred in Sichuan. This movie was made before the earthquakes hit Sichuan and I believe that initially, this movie was to create awareness for the panda preservation effort in that area and now it had became a vehicle to raise funds instead.

… and this is a NOT KungFu Panda ya! The baby panda is sssssoooooooo cute!!!! :P

Terminator Salvation

This movie fails miserably in both aspects where the new Star Trek film shines: staying true to the original while making the new characterizations and situations compelling on their own merit.

It kicks off in the right gear but where was the character development??? John Connor was the focal point in T2 & T3, staying alive, fighting... even Christian Bale couldn't deliver but it wasn't his fault. John Connor has a supporting role, as the whole film was revolved around who Marcus Wright was, but even that wasn't covered very well. Even Kate Connor character had little screen time and no development what so ever.

The major problem with Hollywood today, as my movie online friend, quikbdr720, mentioned, TOO MUCH CGI, NO PLOT DEVELOPMENT and this movie is no different.

Coraline

Take note... it is not Caroline but Coraline.

I like the story of us having a parallel world and the characters are the same but different personality. The animation was amazing. Every character looked awesome and had so much detail to them. I really enjoyed the movie and recommend you see it. :)

Jin Notti

Alahai… pelakon2 semua ok tapi cerita nih macam serba tak kena. Kesinambungan cerita macam terputus2 dan banyak adegan macam kaku. Gandingan Mawi dan Fara memang tiada ‘chemistry’ la… Tengok sekali ajer pun dah cukup!

Pertama kali makan kat sini

Lama saya tak cerita pasal makan2 kan? Actually banyak occasion makan2 cuma tak sempat nak upload gambar ajer...

Kali nih makan2 memang special sebab cinta hati saya yang bayar hehehe Tau tak? Sebab hang pa tak tau ler wa nak habaq nih... :P Sepanjang 30 tahun dok kat KL habis la aku korang tau aku nih remaja purba tak pernah pi makan kat mana2 gerai ikan bakar kat Jalan Bellamy tu... dok dengar citer ajer, jadik cinta hati saya pun bersusah payah mengambil saya di pejabat dan bawa saya makan disitu, horeyyyyy!!!!

Sampai2 ajer, Ya Rabbi hangat nak mampuih! Macam dok dalam oven tapi masih senyum sebab menjaga hati cinta hati saya lah katakan, padahal ketiak dah menangis dah... gerai ikan bakar kegemaran cinta hati saya ialah gerai yang paling akhir sekali ke belakang. Lupa pulak saya nak tengok nama gerai tu tapi ianya 2 gerai bersebelahan gerai ikan bakar melaka.

Susah nak cari tempat duduk semasa waktu makan tengahari nih tapi alhamdulillah ada 2 tempat kosong. Yang nih sampai dulu... kecor beb!!!! ayar lioq meleleh hehehehe sabar nih sebab nasi belum mai lagi...

tak sabar... aku cuit juga ikan pari bakar nih... perh!!!! sodap!!!!

hehehe inilah hidangan we all... yummy... dan memang berbaloi baloi bawa saya sebab memang langsai kesemuanya... burrrppppp... sengkaked!!!

Mengharungi cabaran hujung tahun

Tidak seperti tahun-tahun sebelum ini, aku rasakan cabaran inilah merupakan cabaran akhir tahun yang hebat baik bagi kerjaya mahupun peribadi. Aku sedang melalui masa2 susah dalam hidup di mana ramai yang bergantung harapan kepadaku dan mengharapkan yang terbaik daripadanya. Macam mana nih??? Masa untuk diri sendiri pun tiada, alahai...

Teringat pesanan seorang sahabat online, ntah bila boleh berjumpa bertentangan mata dengan dia nih... terlalu secretive... oi!!! pompuan la... bukan lelaki terakhir malaya!! Katanya zikir lah... zikir tu macam pakai toner kat muka, refreshing!!!!

Allahuakhbar! Subhanallah! Laailahaillallah!

Bila hujung tahun, macam2 perlu diselesaikan...

Aduh! macam2 perlu dilakukan sebelum 1 Januari 2010 menjelang tiba... kerja hakiki dan tugasan pelajar membuat saya tidak sempat bernafas seperti biasa. ...dan sebab itulah juga tonsil membengkak dan urat di badan sakit semuanya. Hati meronta2 untuk ke spa atau Thai massage, namun bilakah masa yang sesuai????

KPI kakitangan bawahan perlu dibuat, KPI keseluruhan kakitangan perlu dipantau, cadangan kenaikan gaji (ada ka???) dan cadangan perbelanjaan sumber manusia perlu dikertas kerjakan. Program latihan terakhir tahun 2009 perlu mendapat kelulusan dan perancangan cuti perlu diteruskan.

Soalan2 ilmiah Dr Ibrahim dan 2 assignment mencabar minda perlu dijawab dan dibukukan. Persediaan peperiksaan akhir tahun masih tak nampak bayangannya...

Kezutan ulangtahun perkahwinan Mama dan Papa kenalah ditangguh memandangkan pasangan sehati berdansa itu, akan memimpin sekumpulan bakal haji ke tanah suci bermula esok. Alahai...

Kakak ipar pula meminta kami pulang sempena Hari Raya Aidil Adha tapi hatiku berbelah bahagi... kesian adik2 beraya tanpa Papa dan Mama, hhhuuuwwwaaaaaaaaa...

... dan kejadian paranormal kembali melanda kami.

YA ALLAH!!!!!! TOLONGLAH AKU!!!!!

Postponed birthday celebration

Ini adalah kejadian pada 17 Oktober yang lalu. Kami adik beradik berkumpul balik kampung Kg Baru ajer daaa sambutan hari raya dan birthday keluarga Haji Sam bapak wa laa, me and my 2 nieces birthdays tapi seperti biasa yang kecik2 tu la yang bikin havoc! hehe

Dalam kesibukan, sempat juga saya melayan beberapa DVD pada hujung minggu. Dalam banyak2 cerita nih, saya rasa nak beli la DVD cerita Setem. Saya suka ceritanya :)

Mutant Chronicle

OMG this movie is year 2008 production??? I thought this was done 20 years ago… Though the CGI sucks, the movie was quite enjoyable. Just about every scene was computer generated and if you fancy 300 kind of movie you will like this one…

The actors put in a fair performance with plenty of action scenes and some creepy moments. Nonetheless, I think I enjoy Sky Captain and World of Tomorrow more.

What Lies Beneath

This is a year 2000 production directed by Robert Zemeckis. Totally brilliant and full of suspense, those were the words that came straight at my face when movie credits rolled at the end.

The plot goes along at a steady unnerving pace. Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer are great on screen couple and they couldn’t have got a better couple for this thriller. Harrison Ford is certainly adequate and this role is a refreshing change for him but Michelle gave a superb performance.

Lately movie producers seem to over-do everything with special effects, gore, music and violence. Not here... they had taken a step back and returned to what makes movies spooky. It's not a computer generated demon or a high intensity soundtrack; it's just a creaky door, reflection in the glass, it's that feeling when you know you just pushed that chair in a minute ago and now it's away from the table again. That's what makes people uneasy, that's what makes them check their closets or sleep with the lights on hehehe I know who you are!!!!

The most notable difference in the movie was the silence. I'd guess that about 50% of the movie was completely silent except for breathing, footsteps, creaking doors... wonderful. The silence in the movie just added to that tension and made you slowly edge up on your seat.

I sat down to watch this movie with basically no pre-conceived notions concerning its plotline and later, I was covering my eyes with my hands hehe peeping through a small opening haha Robert Zemeckis's masterful directing has taken what is undoubtedly a good screenplay and lifted it to a higher level.

Eeeeiiiii… this movie is really creepy…but let’s watch it again! :P Check it out if you dare. Highly recommended.

Blood : The Last Vampire

This is a straight forward action movie. When watching this movie you have to forget about any relation to the anime series or manga. If you do not, then you will suffer a great deal of hurt such as Harry Potter opsssss… different genre… such as Dragonball Evolution.

Saya, played by Jeon Ji-hyun turns in a satisfactory, if not spectacular performance in her first ass-kicking action role, sort of a female version of Blade. Blood has a nice collection of katana action American style, low-budget CGI but average acting. Still when the movie ended I was a bit confused about Saya even with the history given and it made me wonder why they didn't stick with more of the elements from the anime series?

If it were only up to actress Jeon Ji-hyun and her portrayal of the killer vampire, I would rank this movie as excellent but the weight of the poor acting by the supporting cast, the already silly story, low budget CGI and the unnecessary military portion of the movie drag the movie down. Although I would watch it again... what can I do... I love Blood + , the anime series.

Princess Protection Program

Should I review this???? hahahahaaa This movie is totally for children and young teenagers. Girls will definitely like the movie as they like Hannah Montana.

Setem

Tidak tersangka filem bertajuk 'Setem' ini adalah sebuah filem komedi aksi + gangster + crime ala2 Ocean 11 (bukan Ocean 11 ASMB ok?). Jalan cerita yang hampir sama di mana ‘small time convicts’ kena buli dengan kumpulan gangster besar.

Filem ini memang menghiburkan. Daripada lakonan seperti Sathiya dengan dialog dialognya berjaya mencuit hati penonton, tambahan Afdlin pula seperti biasa dengan komedi gaya beliau. Watak Piranha Lim dan Mani pula agak menarik kerana keduanya berjaya membawa watak berasaskan bangsa kelahiran masing2. Piranha Lim yang bercakap menggunakan loghat utara 'kecinaan' merupakan satu watak yang belum pernah saya tonton sebelum ini (alaaa macam cina kelantan speaking kelante laaa…) Watak Mani pula macam gangster Tamil cukup dengan misai cuma tak lentik ajer hehehehe pistol dia rupanya lighter rokok kwang kwang kwang

Saya puji filem ini kerana ia lari dari stereotaip filem komedi Melayu yang biasa. Terdapat banyak lawak yang sememangnya tak macam dalam filem Scenario ataupun Sifu & Tongga. Tambahan, pengakhiran jalan cerita ala2 cerita siri Leverage amat saya puashati kerana tak sangka filem Malaysia boleh gak buat cam gituh huh? Syabas!!!!

Baik jalan cerita mahupun pelakon filem ini, mereka sentiasa bergerak, ‘on movement’. Kekuatan utama yang menjadikan filem arahan Khabir Bhatia kali ini cukup unik adalah pada plot 'setem' yang dikembangkan secara menarik, tanpa gangguan visual yang tidak penting. Jom tengok sekali lagi! I gave this movie two thumbs up! Good job!

Oh ya... antara lawak yang saya gelak nak tergolek2 dah le debab tergolek lagik, aku la tu... ialah lawak Justin Timberlake vs Just Dont Be Late. Nak tau apa dia??? Pi la tengok sendiri... :P

My Nokia N73 was having a problem with its software so I sent to service at Nokia Service in One Utama. While browsing around looking for a nice and cute travelling bag for my new Lenovo netbook, I came across One U Deepavali kiosks. There was a henna kiosk and 3 Chienese ladies (1 Malaysia huh?) were having their henna decorations done not only at the hands but on the shoulder and the calf too... Amazing and really nice at the same time.

Apa lagi saya pun terus tergedik2 nak inai tangan yang selama ini memang dok impikan sangat cuma tak dak masa nak pi Jalan Masjid India tu...

Cantik kan? Seni sungguh hasil kerja wanita Benggali itu... Katanya dia melukis apa yang terlintas di fikirannya setiap kali dia melakar inai di tangan pelanggan. Itulah sebabnya lakaran inainya unik kepada setiap pelanggan.
